Is there actually another book coming out in the series? I admit, I just randomly picked up the first volume the other day in B&N and absolutely fell in love with it. Read the first in about two days, picked up the second one and then ordered the Dark Volume that very same day. I finally finished the Dark Volume yesterday and I need to know what happens next. I’ve been scouring the internet all day and night trying to find out about another book but have come up empty handed. I don’t know if it’s just my crappy search engine skills or whether there are just no plans for another one. There HAS to be another one… even if I have to track down Gordon himself and stand over him while he writes!!! haha

I have to say that anyone that reads fantasy novels, expects a sequel. Trilogy, saga, etc.. If you are looking for a stand alone book you should maybe read children’s books. That way you do not have to think so hard or retain as much. ‘The name of the Wind” Can not and should not be summed up in 200K words or less. No great story should. Every beginning has an end, But it is not the end to makes a story great, It is the journey!.
I look forward to the next and the next and the next!!

I didn’t think that Lies of Lock Lamora was anything like The Name of the Wind. The Lies of Locke Lamora is nothing compared in my opinion and I think the style is actually quite different (Lies of Locke is a lot more light hearted - *SPOILER* even when some people die in the book I felt absolutely nothing)

There’s just something epic about The NoW which just isn’t found elsewhere.

this book is amazin ive read a large amount of books but this has to be one of the best-same par as pullmen- can’t wait for next book to come out.

i think that The Name of the Wind is the greatest book i’ve ever read!!!! i think that kvothe is just as awsome as his name and that his story line couldn’t be better! i used to think that, as a major cat lover, The Warriors series was the best and no book would ever beat it out, but after about the first three chapters of this, it had already beaten it out! i CANNOT wait for the next one and i recommend this book for anyone who likes a thrilling adventure about a strong spirited, curios young man, with a broken heart and alot of dreams to fulfill!
